Shape Switch (the “App”) is developed and published by Butaram. This privacy policy explains that no personal data is collected, stored, or shared when you use the App. Your privacy is completely respected.
1. No data collection
The App does not collect, use, or save any personal data. It does not require registration, does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or storage (except that it may optionally use vibration with your permission).
- No identifiers – we never read your device ID, IMEI, advertising ID, or any unique hardware identifier.
- No analytics – we do not integrate Google Analytics, Firebase, or any usage tracking SDK.
- No crash reporting – crash logs are only handled by Android system; the developer does not receive them automatically.
2. Data shared with third parties
None. The App does not share any information with third parties because it does not collect any information in the first place.
3. Permissions and why they are used
The App declares the following permission in its manifest:
- android.permission.VIBRATE – only used to provide subtle haptic feedback when you tap to switch shape or when you match a shape correctly. Vibration is optional and you can disable it in your system settings. No data is sent anywhere.
The App does not require internet access. It works completely offline.
4. Local storage (SharedPreferences)
The App saves only your high score locally on your device using Android’s SharedPreferences. This is purely for gameplay purposes (so you can see your best score after restarting the game). This data stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear it by uninstalling the App or clearing App data in system settings.
5. Children’s privacy
The App is suitable for all ages. Because no personal data is collected, there are no special provisions required under COPPA or similar laws. Parents can be confident that their children’s information is not being gathered.
6. Changes to this privacy policy
If the App ever changes in a way that affects data handling (e.g., adding optional online leaderboards), this policy will be updated and a new version will be published. The “Last updated” date above indicates when the policy was last revised. You are encouraged to review this page occasionally.
